Navigate through the website to explore photo collections of animals from around the world. The albums are categorized to make your journey effortless, and the online store is where you can purchase prints.

These animals have been photographed in captivity from collections currently around the United States of America. As I continue to travel, I will update the list of places I have visited. Destinations I have traveled to are:

Ohio, USA

Pennsylvania, USA

About Me

Hello everyone! My name is Nathan and I am from the Northeastern Pennsylvania, USA. I received my first camera in December, 2016, and since then, I have been extremely passionate about photography. I knew I wanted to photograph animals and nature in some fashion, but it wasn't until November 2019 that I dove into the realm of Studio Style Animal Portraits.

I started with the Canon EOS Rebel T6, but currently use the Canon EOS R. My go to

lenses are the Canon 100 mm F/2.8 Macro USM and Canon 35 mm F/2.8 Macro USM.

The studio style portraits I mainly take require additional external lighting units to

accomplish the perfect white or black backgrounds. I use Godox v860ii-c speedlights

with one positioned on each side of me at a 45 degree angle toward the animal. The

angle up or down for the softbox depends on each individual animal.

Additionally, I use Neewer 24" square softboxes mounted on Amazon Basics softbox

stands. The backdrop consists of a black velvet sheet while the platform the animals

sit on is a custom made black piece of acrylic.

I plan to periodically post blog articles about my equipment, shoots I have done, and anything else

that comes to mind.

I consider myself an advanced/professional photographer when it comes to this style, but I by no means know everything there is to know about photography. My overall knowledge grows every day and with every shoot I do.

If you ever have any questions or concerns, are interested in scheduling a shoot, or purchasing a print in a custom size or material, please email me: nathanjordanphotography@gmail.com or use the contact page.
